Clubs
Sagemont's extra-curricular activities give students ample opportunity to participate in school and community service, pursue talents and special interests and build bonds and friendships. Opportunities for leadership roles exist in middle and high school student government, and in nationally-recognized organizations like Forensic Club, Key Club and National Honor Society.
Art Club

Band Club

Band Club is open to any student that is currently in a band class or that has played a band instrument for at least 1 year. Students rehearse music together in preparation for concerts and competitons.
Book Club
Sponsored by Ann SponnobleThe Book Club is an afterschool gathering where students recommend and discuss books that are not read in class! Discussions include literary analysis, social implications, censorshipts, etc. It is open to all Sagemont students.
Builders Club
Sponsored by Anna CullenBuilders Club is a student-led service organization for middle school students dedicated to school and community service. Any student interested in service, and of good character, is eligible to join. Kiwanis International, a worldwide service organization whose clubs serve children and develop youth leadership, and the Sagemont Upper School Campus sponsor the Builders Club.
Critics Award Program (Cappies)

Cappies stands for Critics Award Program. The club gives students the opportunity to watch a wide variety of High School plays and musicals in the South Florida community. Students are trained as theatre critics.
Chess Club
Sponsored by Nino LiguoriThe Sagemont Chess Club welcomes all students, regardless of experience, who are interested in playing chess. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the game and play chess with peers. This is the club for you whether you want to relax and play chess with your friends or just stop in for a challenging game.

Key Club is the largest and oldest service program for high school students worldwide. Key Club membership is open to any high school student who desires to become a leader in his/her school and community and wishes to provide services to others. Key Club activities include March of Dimes.
Chorus

The Chorus Club is a performance based club and is open to all middle and high school students. Rehearsals are held once a week in preparation for the winter concert, spring concert, and District Music Performance Assessments.
Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society)

This is a competitive club. Students have the opportunity to test their skills against students of other schools.

Quill and Scroll Honor Society
Sponsored by Rachel SimmondsThe Quill and Scroll Honor Society encourages and recognizes individual student achievement in journalism and scholastic publication. Members must be a junior or senior and have a minimum GPA of a 3.5 in general scholastic standing for the cumulative total of all high school work. They must have done superior work in some phase of journalism or school publications work. They must be recommended by their teachers and approved for membership.
Spanish Honor Society

We discuss ways in which we can continue our study of Spanish language and culture and also use our expertise to help and encourage others to do the same. This society has been helping an orphanage in Miami for several years.

We discuss ways in which we can continue our study of French language and culture and also use our expertise to help and encourage others to do the same.
Thespian Honor Society
Sponsored by Elizabeth GarrardThe Thespian Honor Society works to promote the arts at our school and in the community. Thespians also provide support to other organizations that have artistic events. Every year, Thespians are eligible to compete in a district-wide competition in performance or production. After the district competition, some students are chosen to attend the State competition. It is an excellent opportunity to meet other students interested in the dramatic arts and make friends with similiar interests. The Sagemont Troupe 6915 has won many awards in the last 2 years. Membership is by invitation and granted to students with demonstrated meritorious work in theater.
