Drama Club
The Sagemont High School Drama Club is a student organization committed to learning and excellence in performance in performance. The Drama Club produces two major productions each year; they include the Fall play (non-musical) and the Spring musical. The club enables students to earn a well-rounded theatre education by providing opportunities to act, work as part of the stage crew, student direct scenes, and to design and construct costumes as well as sets. Previous shows include Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, Anything Goes, Once Upon a Mattress, Midsummer's Night Dream, Les Miserables, Arsenic and Old Lace, Aladdin, Man Up, and Back to the 80's: The Totally Awesome Musical.
The Sagemont Middle School Drama club has been in existence for three years. The main purpose of the club is to prepare middle school students for the High School Drama Club, Thespians, and Cappies, by allowing them to produce one musical each school year. Like the high school students, middle school drama club members are involved in every aspect of the show. The students attend meetings, rehearsals, and can audition to be part of the cast, or choose to be part of the crew. Previous productions include High School Musical Jr., Into the Woods Jr., and Mulan Jr.
