Can I register my child(ren) for Camp Sagemont if they don’t attend The Sagemont School?
Of course! We would love to have your camper join us for the summer.
Does Camp Sagemont provide extended care hours for camp programs?
Yes, we do.
Early Camp Only (7:30am-9:00am) – $50 per week.
After Camp Only (3:30pm-6:00pm) – $75 per week.
Both Early & After Care – $100 per week.
Are groups co-ed?
Preschool and Kindergarten cabins are co-ed. In grades 1st through 3rd, campers are in all boy or all girl cabins by grade. All of our other specialty camp programs are co-ed.
Will friends be together if they both sign up for the same camp?
Yes, you may request for your child to be placed with another specific child, assuming they are age appropriate for the program; we are able to grant a majority of requests. Please submit your request with the Camp Director via email at email@example.com.
May I tour the Camp Sagemont facilities?
Of course, we love for our camp families to visit our campus prior to the start of camp. Please call the Camp Director at 954-384-5454, ext. 3403 or the camp office at 954-384-1894 to arrange a tour of our camp facilities including our air-conditioned athletic center/dome and outdoor pool.
What are acceptable forms of payment?
Payment options include credit card, check and cash.
What kind of credentials are required by staff members?
Camp staff are hired based on prior camp experience and/or prior experience in working with children. Once hired, all camp staff must undergo a level 2 background check. Prior to the start of camp, all camp staff are required to attend a staff training session where policies on supervision, allergies, weather conditions, safety/fire drills/lock down, first aid, daily procedures and customer service are discussed. Key camp personnel are CPR/AED certified.
Does Camp Sagemont provide lunch?
Campers have the option of either bringing their own lunches from home or ordering lunch from the menu provided by Yummy in my Tummy. Lunches are organic and include the main meal, vegetable, fruit, cookie and water for $6.50. Camp Sagemont will provide FREE pizza lunch on Fridays from Del Vecchicos.
My child has a medical condition that requires medication. How do I inform Camp Sagemont?
Please indicate any allergies or medical conditions on the registration form. The only medications that are allowed are EpiPens, anti-itching cream, inhalers and cough medicine. These medications must be submitted to our front office and clearly labeled with the camper’s name and instructions for use. Parents will be required to complete a Medication Authorization Form at the time the medications are submitted. Forms will be provided by our front office.
What is the sunscreen policy?
Parents should apply sunscreen at home before arriving at camp. Parents should also provide campers with protective clothing to be worn at camp such hats, long sleeve moisture wicking shirts, and/or sun proof swim shirt. In addition, parents can complete the allowing our staff to re-apply sunscreen after lunch.
What are the pick up and drop off procedures for Camp Sagemont?
If dropping off campers for Early Camp, they can be checked in as early as 7:30 am in our front office. Regular camp drop off and carpool line begins at 8:45 am and ends at approximately 9:00 am. Counselors are available to assist campers out of the cars and will escort them as needed. Parents who wish to walk campers to their cabins daily can wait in the gazebo in front of the school until our front gate is opened and then proceed to the cabin.
Camp Sagemont’s carpool line for pick up starts at 3:30 pm and is usually completed in 10-15 minutes. We also offer a Walkers option for younger campers and their siblings. Walker parents will park their car in a marked parking spot and walk to the gate beside the multi-purpose room (MPR) where campers will be waiting.
What should I do if I need to pick up my child during camp hours?
Please inform our front office in advance if you need to dismiss your camper early for a particular day. You will be required to complete an early dismissal form. A copy of the early dismissal form will be given to the Senior Counselor identifying the camper, day and time of early dismissal. At the time of the early dismissal, please come to the camp front office and provide office staff with your camper’s name so they may be called for early dismissal. You will need to provide identification and sign the camper out for the day.
What is the rainy day dismissal procedure?
If there is severe weather in the area (rain and/or lightning), parents will need to park their cars and come inside to pick up campers. Red flags will be posted outside the front gazebo and at the walkers pick up entrance to indicate that we are having a rainy day dismissal in which parents will need to park their cars and come inside to pick up campers. Camp personnel will be stationed in the front entrance gazebo to direct parents as needed.
