Elevating Education with Innovative and Rigorous Learning

Our private school provides academic challenges to help our students grow. Our curriculum goes beyond national standards, creating a unique experience where our students thrive. With a mix of hands-on learning, excellent teaching, and a focus on positive mindsets, we build a strong foundation for each student’s success.

Rigorous Academic Content

Our curriculum is standards-based and uses carefully chosen materials and assessments. Our teachers work to prepare students for the next grade. They give our students the skills and knowledge that build confidence for the future.

High Impact Instruction

Our teachers use technology, small group work, and projects to make learning fun. They check in throughout the year to see how our students are doing. They make sure everyone stays on track.

Learning Mindsets

Our teachers create a caring environment with high expectations. They encourage our students to think deeply, grow emotionally, and build a “can-do” attitude to overcome challenges.

Student-Centered Learning

We help students take ownership of their learning. They make choices, set goals, and speak up for what they need. Teachers use real-time data to adjust lessons and keep every student growing.

Student-Centered Learning

We help students take ownership of their learning. They make choices, set goals, and speak up for what they need. Teachers use real-time data to adjust lessons and keep every student growing.

Project-Based Learning

In project-based learning, our students build their skills by working on real-world projects. They explore local and global topics, making learning fun and hands-on. Each project connects back to things that they are learning in class. Our students learn skills such as communication, collaboration, and planning.

Projects may include helping a food bank by growing plants, making their own market after visiting a farmer’s market, or partnering with the Pulsera Project to learn about Fair Trade and other cultures. These projects help our students learn about the world and make a difference!

Community Engagement

Our students learn about helping others through community service projects. They explore ways to make a difference, come up with plans, and take action to help their community. These projects help them feel connected and show them the joy of giving back, whether by raising funds, donating items, or volunteering their time. Our students can see the good their actions bring and feel proud of making a difference.

They also learn to work together as a team, solve problems, and show kindness. These are skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. They learn how small acts can have a big impact!

Specialty Classes

Spanish

Our Spanish program is rooted in a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and global citizenship. We start teaching Spanish as early as preschool. In kindergarten, our students are placed into Heritage or Non-Heritage Spanish classes. Heritage Spanish classes enrich our students who have cultural and linguistic ties to Spanish-speaking communities. We deepen their skills in grammar, literacy, and cultural fluency. Non-Heritage Spanish classes offer an introduction to the language. We focus on vocabulary, conversational skills, and cultural understanding. This dynamic and inclusive structure ensures that every student is empowered to grow as a confident, capable communicator in an increasingly connected world.

Robotics Program

Sagemont Prep’s Art and Technology program sparks creativity and innovation. Our students explore coding, robotics, and design by doing hands-on projects that grow with them as they get older. Younger students start with VEX 123 and Kodable. They then move on to Python programming and VEX IQ robotics. We combine science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) to help our students think critically, ask questions, and solve real problems. With tools like our 3D printer, our Innovation Hub, and help from groups like Code Ninjas and our school’s Robotics team, our students are ready to succeed in a tech-driven world.

Physical Education

Our students learn how to stay active and make healthy choices. They practice how to express themselves and be kind to others. They run, jump, and play team sports to get stronger and improve their balance. By playing and working with others, they learn how to be good teammates and help their friends. These skills help our students feel confident and strong as they grow.
