Welcome to The Sagemont School’s Parent Teacher Organization, an open, enthusiastic and diverse group of parents who share ideas, set goals and help make improvements to our community every year. Our PTO offers parents many opportunities to be active participants in their child’s educational life.
One of the many things that makes our Lower School environment so inviting for students and families is the high level of parent involvement. In 2016, parent volunteers logged more than 4,000 hours helping in classrooms, on field trips, and during special events and PTO sponsored activities.
We offer events at varying times and days to ensure that there is an opportunity for all parents to be involved. Past events included our Halloween Bash, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Valentine’s Dance, and Color Run.

Parental involvement and participation are both personally rewarding and are an integral part of our children’s education. Each year at open house, we have a representative available to answer questions and provide parents with an opportunity to sign-up for events.
A few of the parent involvement opportunities we offer include our Student Holiday Luncheon, Teacher Appreciation week, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, and the End of the Year Celebration. Most importantly, we facilitate the Teacher Wish List Program, which places items for enrichment and improvement inside of the classrooms.
