Broward Science Students Participate in Innovation Lab

The Sagemont Innovation Lab is Up and Running! Sagemont Lower Campus students are participating in activities during their scheduled media time. Student success is measured using the 4C’s:

  • Communication
  • Collaboration
  • Creativity
  • Critical thinking

Second graders have many ideas to share.

They use a variety of wheel and axle combinations to create a vehicle that can travel up and down a ramp without falling apart.

Clothespin Racers

Fourth and Fifth graders have been adding the “A” in STEAM as they create clothespin racers using supplies provided. While the students are creating in the lab, the other students are designing posters on Publisher using wheel and axle facts they researched.

If you like these activities be sure to join us this summer at S.T.E.M. Camp!
