Sagemont Senior Nico Ulloa was Honored at a Panthers Game

Nico was invited to the Panthers hockey game to receive the $25,000 Broward Community Champion Grant on behalf of Hands on Broward. Nicco has been volunteering with the organization since 2012, and has worked with countless organizations to build their volunteer base. As one of Hands on Broward spokespeople, Nicco understands firsthand the importance of giving back to the community. At the Sagemont School, one of our Learning Outcomes is for students to become global citizens and embrace diversity and a commitment to service, and we feel that Nicco is an excellent representative of those core values. In regards to giving back to the community, Nico stated “If you are thinking about volunteering, definitely go out and try. If you are even considering it, it means you want to. That is how people get started achieving great things!”
